Before the Start Line: How Tarsoft Built the 113 Series Registration App

113 Series, Episode 1: Intro

The race you see, and the part you don’t

When you watch a triathlon, you see the big moments. Athletes charging into the water, the swim, the bike, the run, and that final sprint to the finish line.

But before any athlete reaches the start line, there’s a question most spectators never think about: how did they sign up in the first place?

That’s where we come in. In this new behind-the-scenes series, we’re taking you inside the work that happens long before race day, starting with the app Tarsoft built for the 113 Series.

Meet the 113 Series app

Tarsoft built the 113 Series registration app so athletes can join a race in just a few steps. It’s built for the endurance-obsessed: people who would rather spend their energy training than filling out forms.

Here’s how it works from an athlete’s side:

1. Sign up in minutes. Create an account with secure athlete sign-in, and your athlete profile is ready straight away. One profile carries you through every 113 Series start line.
2. See your next deadline. The home screen shows a live countdown to your next race, so you always know how much time you have left. For example, the 2027 Asia Triathlon Cup in Putrajaya on 31 January 2027.
3. Pick your event. Browse the season’s events, filtered by Open, Upcoming and Completed, and choose the race and category that suits you.
4. Secure your entry. Register in a few taps, with no back-and-forth emails or paper forms.
5. Keep everything in one place. Your entries, bib numbers and season progress all live in your profile, along with your clubs and dependents.

Why it matters

A great race experience doesn’t start with the starting gun. It starts the moment an athlete decides to sign up. If registration feels slow or confusing, that first impression sticks.

Our goal with the 113 Series app was simple: make the journey to the start line as smooth as the race is tough. Fewer steps, clear deadlines, and everything an athlete needs in their pocket.
